Where is His Church? His Church is not defined by a location or building, so His Church is anywhere its members are, however, we do have a weekly worship gathering that takes place at the BCM on the campus of ULM (1005 University Avenue). We also have meetings (called life groups and cell groups) at several different locations all over the Monroe/West Monroe area including coffee shops, homes, restaurants and on campus.
Who comes to His Church? One of our Core Values is Unconditional Love & Acceptance. Anyone and everyone is welcome at His Church. Right now we are primarily young adults, newlyweds, and college students, but we want to see people from all ages, marital statuses, races, and walks of life become a part of His Church.
How do I become a member of His Church? The process for becoming a member of His Church is very simple. To become a member, you must check the appropriate box on your connect card or contact us to let us know you would like to join His Church. Everyone who joins is required to attend His Church 101, which is a one-time, approximately 1-hour orientation. In short, it lets you know what to expect from us and what we expect from you. Once you complete His Church 101 and sign your commitment card, you become an official member of the His Church family.

What time do the Sunday Services start? How long does it last? On Sundays, our worship gathering begins at 10:00 a.m., however, we recommend getting there early to meet and fellowship with others enjoy the free coffee, doughnuts, and other goodies. The services usually last between an 60-75 minutes.
What do I wear to worship? His Church does not have a dress code, so you wear anything you feel comfortable wearing (within reason!). Casual clothes are the norm. We meet in a movie theater, so most people wear what they would if they we're going to the movies. (Note: The Lead Pastor and Worship Leader both wear jeans.)
What is the worship like? The music at His Church is led by our worship leader who sings and plays the guitar. We are working towards building a full worship team. Besides music, the other aspects of worship are generally decided by you. You may stand, sit, clap, dance, sing, not-sing...whatever makes you feel closer to God.
What is the preaching like? Our lead pastor usually does the preaching on Sunday morning. The messages are relevant and application oriented. He usually uses multiple video clips for illustrations and all messages are based on Scripture.

Can I help? Of course! As a brand new church, opportunities are around every corner. At His Church we feel that every individual is uniquely gifted and has special talents that allow him or her to glorify God and help others. If you have a passion, talent, or calling and you wish to use it, we will do our best to plug you in. Contact one of the His Church staff or leaders.
Do you take mission trips? Yes. We are currently planning at least one short-term summer mission trip (church-wide) for this year (to Honduras). Along with taking church-wide mission trips, we send out individual missionaries and sponsor mission teams. We also support missions and ministries around the world.
Do you support missionaries financially? Missions is at the heart of His Church, and we do have missionaries outside of His Church that we support financially. In fact, we will be sending out 25 young adults and college students into world missions this summer. Additionally, His Church contributes to the Cooperative Program which funds missions and ministry around the world. (For more information on the Cooperative Program, click here.)
Do you take up an offering? Do I have to give money? Yes and no. We have boxes placed in the back of the sanctuary and in the lobby. People place their gifts in these boxes as they feel led. As guests, you shouldn't feel pressured to give unless you feel comfortable doing so. We do feel that God blesses those who give to the ministry of the Church and encourage you to bring gifts and offerings. As God blesses you, you should bless others.
Where does the money go? The money you give to His Church goes many different places. Our church supports missionaries and ministries around the world both independent of and through the (click for SBC Cooperative Program). Some of the money goes to our local association which provides ministries and missions in Northeast Louisiana (click for NELA Mission Projects). Still, some of your money stays to further the ongoing ministries of His Church.
Are my gifts tax-deductible? Yes, all gifts made to His Church are tax-deductible. Generally, we mail contribution statements annually (mid- January), but other requests may be made by contacting the church office.
How do I give offerings or make financial contributions? You have a couple options for giving: 1.) You may give at our Sunday Worship Gatherings; 2.) You may mail your offering (we have pre-addressed envelopes available).
